Spordex Biological Indicator Strips
STERIS Spordex® Biological Indicator Strips are specifically designed for determining the effectiveness of steam, ethylene oxide (EO) and dry heat sterilisation procedures. Each strip is inoculated with bacterial spores, either Bacillus atrophaeus (BA) (formerly Bacillus subtilis var. niger) for ethylene oxide and dry heat sterilisation or Geobacillus stearothermophilus (GS) for saturated steam sterilisation. Each easy to peel glassine pouch has the lot number, organism and expiration printed on it. Spordex Biological Indicator Strips are available in a variety of standard populations as well as custom configurations.
